My first pick of the week is issue four of Darth Vader. This all new series follows Vader directly after the events of Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith and shows his untold mission to claim his new lightsaber. Writer Charles Soule is hitting it out of the park with the script and story on this book and is doing a fantastic job telling this important arc in the characters story that fans have always wondered.
This is my first time reading an issue of Alters after hearing rave reviews about the series and jumping on at issue six felt perfectly natural. One of the best comics to hit the shelves this year by far. Colourist Leonardo Paciarotti deserves a shout out here after providing some beautiful colouring that elevates this book to the next level and is simply stunning to look at.
The War of Jokes and Riddles rages on in brutal fashion in part four. This has been a pretty impressive run so far with thrills and spills on an epic scale. Writer Tom King is well on his way to being hailed as one of the best writers on this book in recent years.
STAR WARS ROGUE ONE ADAPTATION #5 (Of 6)
The action is cranked up a notch in this penultimate issue of the adaptation. There are also some extra scenes included here that were cut from the original screenplay which is a nice addition and something that hardcore Star Wars fans will appreciate. Writer Phil Noto is doing a great job on cover art with some really nice looking pieces.
