DARK FANG #4

This series is shaping up to be my favourite of the year so far! In this issue the tables have turned for vampire Valla as she meets her match with the son of the Angel of Death! Artist Kelsey Shannon does some fantastic work in this issue by emoting the characters perfectly and nailing the pacing with his panelling choices.

DARK KNIGHTS RISING THE WILD HUNT #1

​This giant all star line up of a creative team really worked well to pull off this fantastic one shot tie in to Metal. The mix of all the different artist make the Multiverse hopping and bizarre imagery even more effective. Letterer Clayton Cowles deserves a shout out as his work really pops and is absolutely integral to elevating the art and projecting the dialogue in this book. 

CABLE #154

The Newer Mutants story arc comes to an action packed conclusion. There is actually some really good art in this issue that old school X fans will appreciate. Artist Jon Malin does some awesome looking splash panels and mixes up his angles in sequences that makes for an engaging read. 

SHADE THE CHANGING GIRL WONDER WOMAN SPECIAL #1

Weirdest comic of the year so far! Wonder Woman has been trapped inside an illusion where she thinks she is a domestic goddess icon named Wonder Wife! Artist Mirka Andolfo blew me away here with some absolutely gorgeous art that just may be the best of the year so far!
