ARCHIE #20

With the acclaimed award winning writer of Daredevil and Kingdom Come writing this issue it was a must read for me. Sure it is a completely different kind of book to the previously mentioned but for this style of teen comic the writing is great and is so much fun. Clearly Mark Waid can do no wrong and he proves it here that he can literally write any style of comic and knock it out of the park every time.

HARLEY QUINN #20

Never thought a Harley Quinn book would ever make it into my picks of the week but there is a first time for everything! It seems as though the writers of this book have heeded my advice after my scathing review of the first volume and really upped their game after a rocky start and a disappointing first few issues. Colourist Alex Sinclair really is the shining hero here with his vibrant work enhancing the already brilliant art and making this comic go from fine to fantastic.
