SECRET EMPIRE #9 (Of 10)

My first pick of the week is the penultimate issue of Secret Empire. This book has been a really solid event that delivered on every instalment with issue 9 being no exception. Writer Nick Spencer has done a fantastic job crafting an imaginative and gripping story that will leave readers desperate to read the conclusion next week! 

CABLE #4

This series is really starting to heat up now! After a slow burning start Cable finally throws down with his quarry and what a confrontation it is! Artist Yildiray Cinar draws some awesome action sequences and depicts our favourite time travelling mutant in all his brute glory with ridiculously huge guns all blazing!

ICEMAN #4

This book continues to go from strength to strength. The jokes and pop culture references fly thick and fast in the witty dialogue along with a believable and heartfelt inner monologue. Writer Sina Grace is crafting something really special within the pages of this book and is the perfect voice for Bobby Drake.

WEAPON X #7

Issue seven of Weapon X marks the start of a new story arc entitled origin of a monster. In part one we start to learn about the past of Weapon H and it's pretty fucking cool. Writer Greg Pak is doing a really good job on this book developing a gripping story and ending with interesting cliffhangers making X fans return to read it month after month.
