My first pick of the week is the new issue of spider man. Brian Michael Bendis spends no time hanging around and is moving the plot along nicely after the Spider-Gwen crossover by dropping a huge bombshell on Rio Morales which means life changing consequences for both miles and his father. Artist Szymon Kudranski is tonally perfect for this intense issue and really impresses with his beautiful layouts and shadow work. 

All new costumes and all new missions! Fresh content aplenty in the latest issue of all new wolverine which is a perfect jumping on point for any new readers curious to this title. Writer Tom Taylor is successfully penning one of the most accessible comics on the shelf right now which is also a lot of fun and an easy recommended read.

STAR WARS ROGUE ONE ADAPTATION #1 (Of 6)

Any comic where the opening panel is the literal devil shouting profanities at hobos and decapitating them with his bare hands is worth a read in my book! Think adventure time meets dogma! Another Image Comics original that looks set to be a runaway hit already!

​My forth and final pick of the week is the first instalment in the six issue mini series of the comic book adaptation of Rogue One. Strongly recommended to fans of the film that desire more content as this book is bursting with extra scenes that were cut from the film due to time constraints. Writer Jody Houser does a brilliant job of fleshing out this already gripping story bringing to life concepts and themes that enhance and embellish the theatrical version.
