​BATMAN WHITE KNIGHT #5 (OF 8)

Put simply this book is stupid good. Any Bat fan worth their salt needs to be reading this! And Sean Murphy on art and writing is just phenomenal and it goes to show that pulling double duty can be executed to perfection.

SAVAGE DRAGON #231

This book was a lot of fun! Fantastic art and clever writing that is a humorous as it is bizarre! The Sex Dolls certainly make for a formidable foe that would make any man wince in terror! 

​BATMAN #40

Possibly my most anticipated comic of the year so far. After the shock ending of last issue that erupted angry reactions from some Bat fans around the world we find out what happens next for Bruce and Diana! Writer Tom King really knows how to write a great story with heartfelt and humorous dialogue.

SPIDER-MAN #237

The cool thing about this series is that it feels just like a good old fashioned simplistic Spidey book from way back when. No tedious crossovers just good clean straightforward self contained fun! Seeing Red Hulk passed out in a pizza coma is worth reading this book for alone!

SWAMP THING WINTER SPECIAL #1

Poignant and touching. This bumper sized prestige format issue one is worth the eight dollar cover price alone for the wonderful art and thoughtfully crafted story. Creator Len Wein would have been very happy with how this book came out. 

​X-MEN RED #1

Jean Grey is back from the dead and leading her own team of X-Men. This was a solid set up with a tone that felt cinematic with good pacing and a shocking and very graphic scene at the end. Artist Mahmud Asrar impressed me with his fresh simplistic art style and cool looking costumes.
